When criminals take over politics

Posted in Politics by Manish on April 28, 2009

In our country criminals and politicians are closely related. Politicians tend to become criminals and many criminals enter politics to establish their might constitutionally (pun intended)

North: Bihar

Times of India reports that 54 out of 204 candidates contesting Lok Sabha elections from Bihar have criminal background. Whoa! It is a whooping 25%!! The figures are enough to demoralize the clean ones who would think “Why should we also not indulge in violence and bloodshed?”. Lalu started the trend and all the other political parties are following suit.

South: Kerela

Till now you thought that Left is always clean when it comes to corruption? So, you know Abdul Nasser Madani? The guy was convicted for Coimbatore blasts in 1998 which aimed to kill LK Advani. He was acquitted of the charges and no other than our “principle following commies” came to welcome him back home. Why did this all happen? So much for secularism? Why does media only bash UP and Bihar???
